Ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Regina has led to the arrests of two 31 year-old males who are now facing drug-trafficking charges.
As the result of investigation, police identified a subject believed to be involved in drug trafficking. Late in the afternoon of Tuesday, February 10, 2015, the male was detained in the 1900 block of Hamilton Street and searched. The suspect was found to be in possession of a large sum of cash. This male was also subject to a court-ordered condition to submit to a search of his lodgings at a hotel in the 800 block of Victoria Avenue. This search resulted in the arrest of a second male and seizure of approximately 27 grams of cocaine and an additional large sum of money. Further investigation led to charges against the two male suspects.
Thirty-one year-old Mustaf Mohamed FARAH, DOB: 1983-08-21, of no fixed address is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA], Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 [355(a) CC]; and a Breach of Recognizance [145(3) CC]. Thirty-one year-old Jalil Abdo WAHAB, DOB: 1983-12-06, of Regina, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA] and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 [355(a) CC]. Both men make their first court appearance in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
