Four people: two adults and two youths, are facing charges following a break and enter to a Regina home early Sunday morning.
At approximately 1:26 a.m., Sunday, January 11, 2015, police were dispatched to a break and enter in-progress at a home in the 1800 block of Regent Street. Police arrived within minutes and located a vehicle in the back alley of the complainant’s address. The 33 year-old driver of the vehicle made an attempt to flee, but was taken into custody without incident, as was a 16 year-old male in the back seat. A 25 year old female was arrested near the vehicle and a 12 year-old male youth was located nearby, with property stolen in the break and enter. He was apprehended by a canine officer. The youth was taken to hospital for treatment of an injury. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim of the break and enter was at home, asleep, at the time of the incident. Items stolen included electronics, tools and cigarettes. Further investigation led to charges against all four individuals, as well as charges against the two youths in connection with an October 5, 2014 matter in which a Ford F150 truck was stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Athol Street and driven into a fence in an alley in the 700 block of Retallack Street.
