The Regina Police Service is currently investigating a theft of auto which occurred in the 4600 blk of Albert St.
On Friday December 26, 2014, at approximately 7:15 p.m. police were dispatched to a report of theft of auto from a parking lot in the 4600 blk of Albert St. The victim called police to report her vehicle stolen while her 7 year old son was sleeping in the front passenger seat. The victim had left her vehicle running with the doors unlocked while she went into an establishment near this location. The victim was away from her vehicle for about 4 minutes. When she returned to the parking lot her vehicle was gone. Police immediately attended to the area looking for the stolen vehicle. The victim called police back to say her son had returned to the parking lot. The young boy stated the suspect stopped the vehicle a block away and let the boy out unharmed. Police attended and gave the victim and her son a ride home.
The suspect was described as an aboriginal male wearing a black jacket.
