Three young males have been arrested and charged with a total of 16 charges as the result of a robbery in Regina last night.
On Monday, December 22, 2014, at approximately 8:38 p.m. police were dispatched to a report of a robbery at a convenience store in the 4000 block of Albert Street. The suspects demanded cash and cigarettes then fled the location. Police members, with the assistance of K9 for tracking, found two of the males, along with the aforementioned cash and cigarettes. The third suspect was later identified and arrested at his home.
The names of the three males cannot be made public in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The first male is charged with Armed Robbery [Sec 343(D) CC]; Disguise with Intent [Sec 351(2) CC]; Use of Imitation Firearm during Commission of an Indictable Offence [Sec 85(2)(A) CC]; and two counts of Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88 CC].
The second male is charged with Armed Robbery [Sec 343(D) CC]; Disguise with Intent [Sec 351(2) CC]; Use of Imitation Firearm during Commission of an Indictable Offence [Sec 85(2)(A) CC]; and Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88 CC].
The third male is charged with Armed Robbery [Sec 343(D) CC]; Disguise with Intent [Sec 351(2) CC]
Assault with a Weapon [Sec 267(A) CC]; Use of Imitation Firearm during Commission of an Indictable Offence [Sec 85(2)(A) CC]; Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88 CC]; Carrying Concealed Weapon [Sec 90 CC]; and Pointing a Firearm [87 CC].
All three suspects will be attending Youth Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on December 23, 2014.
