On November 6, 2014 a Joint Forces Operation (JFO) involving the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) ‘F’ Division Integrated Organized Crime Unit -South (IOC-S), the Saskatchewan Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) and Regina Police Service (RPS) culminated in several search warrants being served within the City of Regina. The search warrants were part of an eight month investigation into groups believed to be involved in the trafficking of cocaine and cannabis. The JFO investigators were assisted in the searches by police officers from the Regina Police Service, the Moose Jaw Organized Crime Unit, the Regina Police Service SWAT Unit and Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN).
The JFO has resulted in eight search warrants being served at residences within the City of Regina. These residences are located in the 1600 block of Rae Street, 1000 block of Ferguson Crescent, 1900 block of Atkinson Street, 100 block of Rink Avenue, 1200 block of Dewdney Avenue East, 2000 block of Reynolds Street, 1-99 block of Massey Road, 1800 block of Atkinson Street. In total, twelve individuals were arrested, without incident, and charged. The total number of charges is 61.
The following individuals, all residents of Regina, were charged in relation to this investigation:

2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000, 355(b) CC;
3) Breach of Recognizance, Section 145(3) CC.
Items seized or restrained as Offence Related Property or Proceeds of Crime during the course of this investigation include:
• Approximately 1683 grams of a substance believed to be Cocaine;
• Approximately 43.8 kilograms of a substance believed to Marihuana;
• Approximately 881 grams of Cannabis resin;
• Approximately 7 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms);
• Approximately $73,200.00 in Canadian currency;
• Eleven vehicles
• Various weapons including numerous firearms, batons, bear spray, and knives.
Sharing intelligence and resources is one of many ways agencies and their investigators work together to bring those people before the courts that are intent on doing harm to our communities. This integration and cooperation between the RPS, RCMP IOC – S and CFSEU has resulted in the dismantling of two organized crime groups which investigators believe were trafficking cocaine and marihuana in the Regina area. This was a complex investigation culminating in today’s searches which involved more than 80 investigators, 24 SWAT members and three analysts.
The ‘F’ Division IOC-S is comprised of members of the RCMP and the RPS. The mandate of IOC-S is to expose, investigate, disrupt, dismantle and prosecute organized crime enterprises operating on a provincial and national level.
CFSEU is funded by the Government of Saskatchewan through the Ministry of Justice, Corrections and Policing. CFSEU is an investigative body comprised of personnel from partner police agencies including the Regina Police Service, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Prince Albert Police Service, and the Saskatoon Police Service. The mandate of CFSEU is to expose, investigate, disrupt, dismantle and prosecute organized crime enterprises.
