At 0133 hrs on October 12th, 2014, the Regina Police Service responded to a call at the Regina International Airport. Airport security was reporting a vehicle had driven through the perimeter security fence at the airport.
Police located the abandoned vehicle inside the secure airport perimeter fence along with the damage to the fence the vehicle caused to gain entry. After a lengthy ground search including the use of the K9 Unit, a lone, adult male was located on the airport property and taken into custody without incident. Police investigators believe the male was alone in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Regina Police investigators have been working with Regina Airport Authority and Security officials through this entire investigation.
Twenty-six year-old Scott Matthew DACK, DOB: 1988-08-10 of Regina is charged with Mischief [430 (3) CC]; Impaired Drive [253 (1) (a) CC] and Unauthorized Entry to a Restricted Area [139 (1) Canadian Aviation Security Regulations 2012]. DACK made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on October 14th, 2014.
