The Regina Police Service is currently investigating a weapons offence involving a firearm that occurred this morning (Wednesday, October 8, 2014) in the area of the 2100 block of Borden Street.
At about 12:02 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014, police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Borden Street for a report of gunshots. A resident from the 2100 block of Borden Street reported that someone had smashed the windows on their residence. Upon further investigation police learned that the front living room window had been shot at with a firearm causing the damage to the window. At the time of this incident the occupants of this residence reported to be sleeping and were woken by the sound of glass smashing. No one was injured in the residence.
A witness reported to police that a person was seen running from the area after the gunshots were heard. It is unknown at this time what if any involvement the person had in this incident.
