The Regina Police Service investigated two incidents of indecent acts over the weekend. The two cases are not related.
A 60 year-old male is charged after an indecent act at Wascana Park.
On Sunday, September 28, 2014 at approximately 12:30 p.m. police were dispatched to Wascana Park for the report of a male who exposed his penis. Witnesses report that a male followed a woman and her child in the park; the child noted aloud that the male exposed himself and then the male ran away. Police investigation led to charges against the male.
60 year-old Leonard Mervin JOHNSON (DOB 1954/03/29) is charged with Indecent Exposure to Person Under 16 Years of Age [173(2) CC] and Fail to Comply with Probation Order [733(1) CC].
JOHNSON made his first court appearance in Provincial Court on September 29, 2014, at 9:30 a.m.
In an unrelated matter: a 50 year-old male is charged after an indecent act at the Lawson Aquatic Centre.
On Sunday, September 28, 2014, at approximately 8:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Elphinstone / Lawson Aquatic Centre for a report of an indecent act. It is alleged that the male was masturbating in the men’s shower area where minors were present to witness. Police investigation led to a charge against the male.
50 year-old Roberto Paraon GABRIEL (DOB 1964/04/08) is charged with Indecent Exposure to Person Under 16 Years of Age [173(2) CC].
GABRIEL will make his first court appearance in Provincial Court on November 12, 2014, at 9:30 a.m.
