Members of the Regina Police Service will join with fellow police and peace officers in Regina on Sunday, September 28, 2014 for the 11th Annual Police and Peace Officers Memorial. The public is welcome to attend.
This annual event recognizes and pays tribute to all police and peace officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. It coincides with other, similar ceremonies held across Canada, the largest of which is in Ottawa on Parliament Hill. The Saskatchewan Police and Peace Officers Memorial event begins with a Parade of Officers beginning at 10:30 a.m. on September 28th from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum at College Avenue and Albert Street in Regina. The parade will proceed south on Albert Street to the Saskatchewan Legislature for a wreath ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Refreshments will follow in the Legislature Rotunda.
Members of the public and the media are encouraged to attend.
