On April 22, 2014, at 1:22 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of Lewvan Drive and Saskatchewan Drive for a report of a motor vehicle collision. The initial information provided was that it was a single vehicle rollover. Police arrived and located a black, Mercedes SUV with two occupants inside. The vehicle was on its roof beside the concrete pillar of an overhead railway bridge at that location. Regina Fire and Protective Services and EMS extracted the two occupants of the vehicle, who were taken to hospital by EMS. The female, later identified as an 18 year-old Regina woman, died in hospital just after 7:00 a.m. that morning.
