A Nineteen year-old male faces charges after an assault on Monday night.
On Monday, September 8th, 2014 at approximately 8:40 p.m. police were dispatched to a house on the 1700 block of Toronto Street for a weapons offence. It’s alleged the suspect went to the victim’s house; an argument ensued and the suspect assaulted the victim with an edged weapon. The victim held off the suspect, who fled the scene before police arrived.
EMS attended the victim who was transported to hospital for injuries described as non-life threatening.
The suspect was located by police early Tuesday morning and arrested.
Nineteen year-old Ian Michael MCARTHUR, DOB:1995/01/22, of Regina, is charged with Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(a)], and Breach of Probation [CC 733.1(1)]
MCARTHUR makes his first appearance on these charges in provincial court this afternoon, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
