Shortly after 6pm, Regina Police Service responded to a call where a 9 year-old girl was struck by a car in a parking lot in the 2700 block Avonhurst Drive.
The car was driven by a 22 year-old male who had just dropped his girlfriend off at the front of the store.
The male just started to move forward when the 9 year-old girl walked in front of the car. An adult caregiver was holding the girl’s hand and attempted to pull her back when the car began to move, but the girl was still struck at a low speed.
The 9 year-old was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The incident is still under investigation. No charges laid at time.
