Seven males, two of them young persons, have been charged with First Degree Murder in connection with a homicide believed to have occurred in Regina late Wednesday or early Thursday morning.
The victim has now been identified as 54 year-old Shawn Roderick DOUGLAS, DOB: 1960-05-23, of Regina. DOUGLAS’ body was found in a search by an RPS Canine unit on Saturday, August 9, 2014, in a rural area north-east of Regina.
The accused are all charged with First Degree Murder [235(1) CC] in connection with DOUGLAS’ death. Two of the accused cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youths are 16 and 17 years old. The adult accused are: eighteen year-old Aiden James ANAQUOD, DOB: 1996-04-18; twenty-three year-old Johnathon Nelson PEEPEETCH, DOB: 1990-11-05; twenty-four year-old Joshua Duane WILSON, DOB; 1990-06-04; thirty year-old Michael Shane McNAB, DOB: 1983-12-18; and thirty-two year-old Dennis Calvin THOMPSON, DOB: 1981-12-23. The adult accused are all from Regina. The accused Young Persons will make their first court appearance on the charge in Youth Court on Monday, August 11, 2014. The adult accused will make their court appearances in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014.
