The Regina Police Service is investigating a shooting incident overnight that resulted in two males in hospital.
On August 5, 2014, at approximately 12:57 a.m., police were dispatched to a weapons offence call on the 1100 block of Cameron Street. Police arrived and located a male lying on the sidewalk with what appeared to be a small-caliber gunshot wound in his right shoulder. EMS attended and the victim was transported to hospital.
At approximately 1:00 a.m. police were dispatched to another weapons offence call at the 1300 block of Garnet Street. A female had called to report that she and a friend were approached by a male on foot with a small-caliber gunshot wound to his neck. EMS attended and the victim was transported to hospital.
Both victims’ injuries have been described as non-life threatening.
