On Thursday July 3, 2014, members of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit arrested and charged Russell Dennis WOLFE (D.O.B. 1959-03-06) of Saskatoon, with six additional charges after an ongoing investigation into child pornography. WOLFE had been previously charged with Possession of Child Pornography, Accessing Child Pornography and Distribution of Child Pornography during Operation Snapshot III, which was a national project focusing on sex offenders who collect, possess, share, make available, distribute and produce child sexual exploitation material online.
Through the investigation and the examination of evidence, seized at WOLFE’s residence in May 2014, ICE investigators discovered additional evidence which lead to these six new charges: three counts of Making Child Pornography, two counts of Sexual Assault and one count of breaching his release conditions.
WOLFE made his first court appearance on these charges at Saskatoon Provincial Court, Friday morning, July 4, 2014.
The investigation will continue as police investigators attempt to identify 14 young females: potential victims with whom WOLFE may have had contact. Anyone with information to assist in this investigation is asked to contact members from the Saskatchewan ICE Unit, the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8363, or any local Police office or RCMP detachment.
