Regina Police Service were dispatched to 3 separate robberies this morning between 4:47am and 5:56am.
At 4:47am, police responded to a report of a group of 6 to 7 youth, riding bicycles and approached a 26 year old male in the area of Scarth Street and 11th threatening the victim with a knife. Victim gave the suspects a small amount of cash before they rode off on their bicycles. Suspect with the knife was average build about 5 foot tall, wearing a black hoodie, blue ball cap. One suspect had a bandana covering his face. At least one of the suspect was a female, who was wearing sunglasses. Victim was not injured.
At 5:30am, Regina Police were called about another robbery committed by 5 suspects on bicycles – 3 males and 2 females. This occurred near Wascana Lake, north Legislative Drive. A 28 year old male was approached by the suspects armed with a knife. Suspects took victim’s wallet, credit cards and cell phone. Suspects again fled on their bicycles. Victim sustained minor injuries after being assaulted when he tried to get away from the suspects.
At 5:56am, a 33 year old male reported that he was robbed by a group of suspects on bicycles in the area of College and Albert Street. Suspect were armed with a knife and machete. Suspects attacked the victim who sustained several cuts to his legs and thighs. Suspects got away with a small amount of cash and the victim’s bicycle. Victim was transported to hospital and was treated for non life threatening injuries.
