A 33 year-old male; who was arrested on Sunday, June 1, 2014, on a Canada Wide Warrant for being unlawfully at large; faces numerous additional charges as a result of investigation into his recent activities.
The Regina Police Service obtained a Warrant for Arrest for 33 year-old Jason John DUNLOP on May 14, 2014. The warrant indicated DUNLOP was to be arrested for being unlawfully at large, but he was also wanted for questioning in connection to a hit and run vehicle-pedestrian collision that injured a plainclothes Regina Police Service member. Jason John DUNLOP was located and arrested at about 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014, in the Argyle Park neighbourhood. DUNLOP was believed to be in possession of a truck that had been reported stolen. Follow-up investigation into this report and other recent activities led to numerous charges against this individual.

DUNLOP is charged with four charges of Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC]; three charges of Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC]; Theft under $5,000 [334(b) CC]; Resist Arrest [129(a) CC]; Possession of a Controlled Substance [4(1) CDSA]; Mischief under $5,000 [430(4) CC]; Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle [249(1)(a) CC]; Assault with a Weapon [267(a) CC]; Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order [117.01(1) CC]; three charges of Fail to stop at Scene of Accident [252(1.1) CC]; Flight While Being Pursued by Peace Officer [249.1(1) CC]; and Fail to Stop at the Scene of Accident Involving Bodily Harm [252(1.2) CC]. DUNLOP made his first court appearance at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014.
