The Regina Police Service is now able to confirm that a reported shooting, which occurred last night at around 8:45pm in the 600 block of Williams Street, is now a homicide investigation. A male, whose identity will not yet be released, was discovered deceased as a result of being shot. Two other males were transported to hospital also suffering from gun shot wounds. This is the third homicide in Regina in 2014. This confirmation is the result of an investigation by the Regina Office of the Chief Coroner, the RPS Forensic Identification Unit and the RPS Major Crimes Unit.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing. At this time, there have been no arrests made in connection to this case.
