A thirty-nine year-old Regina woman will be in Provincial Court this morning charged with Aggravated Assault in connection with an incident on Saturday morning that sent a Regina Male to hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.
At 5:28 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014, police were dispatched to a house in the 600 block of Garnet Street and found a male who had suffered a serious head injury. The male, who was later identified as a 42 year-old Regina man, was taken to hospital by EMS. He remains in hospital. Investigation into this assault led to police locating, and later charging, a 39 year-old female, known to the victim.
Thirty-nine year-old Shelley Cynthia OKEEWEEHOW, DOB: 1975/01/24, of Regina, is charged with Aggravated Assault [268(1) CC]. OKEEWEEHOW will make her first court appearance on the charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014.
