The Regina Police Service has confirmed the arrest of a 43 year-old male who was the subject of Warrants for Arrest in connection with the fire at a residence in the 1400 block of Wascana Street in late March. Forty-three year old Lawrence James GORDON, DOB: 1971-02-11, was arrested this afternoon in Melville, Saskatchewan. This afternoon, Regina Police followed up on a lead, requesting the assistance of the RCMP in Melville. A short time later, investigators received word that Lawrence James GORDON was in custody.
GORDON is charged with Arson Causing Damage to Property [434 CC]; Attempted Obstruction of Justice [139(2) CC]; and Failure to Comply with Probation Order [733.1(1) CC]. Arrangements will be made to have GORDON returned to make his first court appearance on these charges.
