The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, has begun a death investigation after the discovery, this morning, of a deceased male in the 3100 block of 6th Avenue.
The call came in this morning. Monday, March 10, 2014, at about 10:16 a.m. The caller indicated that there was a male, without a shirt or jacket, lying, motionless, in an alley in the 3100 block of 6th Avenue. Police and EMS attended and located a male, believed to be an adult, who was confirmed deceased. Officers secured the area and requested that the Coroner and other investigative units including Forensic Identification and Major Crimes. The scene is currently being held, pending the investigation. The male has not yet been positively identified. When identity has been confirmed, police will notify his next-of-kin of his death.
