One 18 year-old male and a 16- year-old male youth are facing charges following an incident in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 18, 2014, in which the drive and passenger of a stolen vehicle fled from police.
On Saturday, January 18, 2014 at about 12:30 a.m., police observed a vehicle travelling south on Albert Street which matched the description of an earlier-reported stolen vehicle. Patrol and canine officers attempted a traffic stop on the car, in the area of Saskatchewan Drive and Lewvan Drive, but the driver failed to stop and fled North on Lewvan Drive, disobeying the controlled intersections at Lewvan and Dewdney and Lewvan and 7th Avenue. The males were arrested without incident; the vehicle was located, abandoned, nearby. The subsequent investigation led to charges against both males.

He is charged with Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC]; and Failure to Comply with a Judicial Order to keep the peace [137 YCJA].
