The Regina Police Service would like to clarify, and add further information to, a news release and request for information into a weapons offence that occurred yesterday (Tuesday, January 14, 2014) in an alley near Cornwall Street and 15th Avenue.
On Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at approximately 12:32 pm, police were dispatched to a residence on the 2100 block of Lorne Street to a report of a sick or injured person.
The victim stated to police that he was walking down an alley way near Cornwall Street and 15th Avenue at around 8:15 am, when two males, wearing masks, demanded cash. When the victim stated to them that he had none, one of the masked men pulled out a knife and stabbed him.
The victim was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Police are looking for two suspects: a male, approximately 6’ 2”, wearing a grey hooded sweater, and a second male, approximately 5’ 10” tall, wearing a blue jacket and jeans. Both wore dark ski masks.
