The Regina Police Service responded this morning to a call of a suspicious item in the 500 block of Henderson Drive, but has determined that the item is harmless.
Police were dispatched at 8:12 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013, to the 500 block of Henderson Drive for a report of a suspicious item. The caller described the item as resembling a grenade. The item was lying in some brush near the back of the property. The Regina Police Service advised other businesses in the area to have their employees remain indoors until more was known. Personnel from Regina Fire and Protective Services and EMS were advised as a precaution. By 10:25 a.m., police had determined that the item was a type of paintball projectile and advised everyone to carry on with normal daily activities.
