The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, has begun a death investigation, after the discovery last night of a deceased female.
At approximately 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, police were dispatched to the 1700 block of McAra Street for a report of a sick or injured person. Police arrived and located the body of an adult female in the alley lane east of McAra St. Police secured the scene and requested additional resources, including the Coroner, Major Crimes and Forensic Identification investigators.
We can confirm that this is a homicide investigation. Police have identified the body recovered, which is a 21 year-old female. The next of kin have been notified. This is Regina’s 7th homicide of 2013.
