A 40 year-old Regina male is facing several firearms related charges following an incident in the 2000 block of Broder Street on Saturday night, the 17th of August.
On August 17, 2013, at approximately 8:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Broder Street after a report of two males with a rifle. It was reported that a shot was fired and the rifle was pointed at people in the backyard of a house on Broder Street. Police arrived and found two males, matching the suspects’ descriptions, in the area. A .22 calibre rifle was found in a truck nearby. Police took the males into custody without incident. It is alleged the suspect, accompanied by another male, returned with a rifle and pointed the firearm at four individuals. Moments later the suspect fired a round into the air. Both male suspects were intoxicated. One of the suspects was held until he was sober enough to be released. The other male has been charged with numerous offences.
