Four people: three males and a female, face a total of fifteen charges, after break and enters to two construction company compounds late last week, in an incident that involved an arrest on a moving train.
On Friday, July 5, 2013, at about 12:20 in the morning, officers responded to a report of an alarm at a business premise in the 1500 block of East Ross Avenue. As police units were en route, they observed two white trucks leaving the area, driving the wrong way on a highway off-ramp. Police attempted to stop both vehicles, but both evaded officers. One of the trucks, with a male driver and male passenger, headed north-east and out of the City; the other, with a male driver and female passenger, ended up driving alongside railway tracks before hitting an approach and stalling. There was a slow-moving train on the tracks headed south-west. The two occupants of this truck climbed aboard the train. A police officer in the area of 1st Avenue North and Winnipeg Street climbed onto the train and arrested the female suspect; it appeared the male suspect had climbed over, and then jumped off, the train. A short time later, other officers saw a male matching the suspect description running in the area of the 600 block of Albert Street. He was taken into custody without further incident. The other suspect vehicle was spotted at about 2:00 a.m., in the 900 block of Cameron Street, with only one occupant. Police arrested a 24 year-old male without further incident. Later that morning, police located the other male suspect and arrested him without further incident. Subsequent investigation led to charges against all four suspects, all of whom are from Regina.

Twenty-two year-old Dakota Clifford BLONDEAU, DOB: 1991-07-04, is charged with Break, Enter and Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC]; Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle [249(1)(a) CC]; and Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC] (three charges in total).
Twenty-four year-old Daniel Marc Devon DUBOIS, DOB: 1989-06-20, is charged with Break, Enter and Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC]; two charges of Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC]; Impaired Driving [253(1)(a) CC] and Exceed .08 [253(1)(b) CC] (five charges in total).
Twenty-three year-old Whitney Rema Cassandra PRATT, 1990-05-15 is charged with Obstruct Peace Officer (false name) [129(a) CC]; Break, Enter and Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC]; and Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC] (three charges in total).
All four made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013.
