The Regina Police Service has arrested and charged three males as result of ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in our city.
On Friday, April 26, 2013 at approximately 8 p.m. police attended to a residence in the 600 Block of Gladmer Park. An ongoing investigation into activity at this residence produced evidence of drug trafficking. When police attended, they located one male who had just exited the residence. He was arrested without incidence. Police entered the residence and arrested a second male without incident. Located inside the residence were drugs, cash, cell phones, and other drug paraphernalia. While officers were executing the search warrant, a third male attended to the residence. It was determined that the third male was also involved and he was arrested.
Thirty year old Samson MESGUN, DOB: 1982/11/26, of Winnipeg, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine [CDSA 5(2)] and Possessing the Proceeds of Crime- Over $5,000 {CC355(a)].
Twenty-six year old Christian KARURANGA, DOB: 1987/03/15, of Regina, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine [CDSA 5(2)], Possessing the Proceeds of Crime- Over $5,000 {CC355(a)], and Failure to Appear [CC 145(3)].
Thirty-two year old Lorne ROSS, DOB: 1981/01/30, of Edmonton, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine [CDSA 5(2)] and Possessing the Proceeds of Crime- Under $5,000 {CC355(b)].
All three charges persons will made their first appearance in provincial court this morning at 9:30.
