The Regina Police Service is has charged a twenty-five year old Roland Wendall Chase BELL, DOB 1987/04/10, of Brandon, Manitoba, with Arson [433(a) CC]. BELL was arrested in Sioux Valley First Nation Manitoba, by Dakota Police at approximately 1130 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013. He will be remanded in Brandon, Manitoba until arrangements are made to transfer him to Regina to appear in Provincial Court.
As the result of continued investigation into three building fires on Robinson Street the week of February 24-30, 2013, the Regina Police Service has determined that these fires are not connected. They were close to each other, geographically speaking; however there is no evidence that links any of the three fires to each other. As indicated above, the investigation into the fire at 900 Robinson Street has resulted in a charge against 25 year-old Roland Wendall Chase BELL of Brandon, Manitoba. The fire at 969 Robinson Street on February 25, is believed to be non-criminal. The fire at 1043 Robinson Street on February 28 is believed to be the result of a Break Enter and Commit Arson, but it is still not concluded.
