Police received a call of the collision at 12:37 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. The investigation indicates there were four vehicles involved in the collision; the primary impact was between a grey Dodge Ram Truck and a white Ford Ranger. The investigation indicates the Ford Ranger was north-bound on Park Street, entering the intersection on a green light, when it was struck on the driver’s side by the Dodge truck, which was eastbound. Investigation following the collision confirmed that the truck was stolen, sometime between midnight and 6:30 a.m., from a residence in the 100 block of Rae Street. The collision sent the Ford Ranger into two west-facing vehicles, which were stopped for the red light on Arcola Avenue. The Dodge truck carried on through the intersection and came to rest in the westbound lanes of Arcola Avenue. The two male occupants of the Dodge truck fled the scene on foot. Two male suspects were apprehended by police, in the area, a short time later. The driver of the Ford Ranger was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police completed notification of the family of the victim yesterday. The victim is 68 year-old John Albert BOXALL, DOB: 1945-02-07, of Regina.
