Four more individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into the recent assault of a 19 year-old Regina male. One of the accused is a male youth. The other three are adults, two males and a female. Last week, two other males, a 15 year-old and a 19 year-old were charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm in connection with the same case.
On February 1, 2013, Regina Police Service investigators received information of a physical assault by a group of males on a 19 year-old male, believed to have taken place a day or two earlier. It’s believed the assault occurred in a house on the 1000 block of Robinson Street on the night of January 30th, or in the early morning hours of January 31st. The victim received injuries consistent with a physical assault. Investigation into this allegation led to the arrest of a 15 year-old male on February 1, 2013 and the subsequent arrest of a 19 year-old male on February 6, 2013. On February 7, 2013, police arrested a 21 year-old female and a 19 year-old male in connection with this case. Two other suspects, a 16 year-old youth and a 20 year-old male, were arrested on February 10th and 11th , respectively.
Of the four additional arrests: the 16 year-old male cannot be named, in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm [267(b) CC]. He appeared in Youth Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Monday, February 11, 2013. Twenty-one year-old Natasha Tamara Frankie GENAILLE, DOB: 1991-12-09; 19 year-old Kyle Stephano SOOP, DOB: 1993-04-01; and 20 year-old Derrick Ewen Pasap, DOB: 1992-06-30, all of Regina, have all been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm [267(b) CC]. GENAILLE and SOOP made their first court appearances on Friday, February 8, 2013. PASAP made his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today, Monday, February 11, 2013. Investigation into this matter is ongoing.
