Hopefully your Christmas and New Year celebrations were fun and safe. Unfortunately they weren’t for a few people:
From December 1st to December 31st, 2012, our traffic unit stopped 1104 vehicles. We had a total of 103 Impaired Driving charges and 32 24hr Suspensions. We stopped 49 drivers who were already prohibited from driving, but were still behind the wheel. We also seized 196 vehicles.
In total so far, we wrote 1005 Tickets for traffic infractions in the month of December. There are a few tickets that still need to be entered in to the system so that total may go up a little bit.
