The Regina Police Service confirms that the suspicious death of a male, whose body was discovered in the early morning hours of December 31st, is a homicide. This death is the seventh homicide in Regina in 2012.
On Monday, December 31, 2012, at approximately 12:35 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Robinson Street for a report of an injured male. Police arrived and located the body of a 26 year-old male who was critically injured. Police carried out CPR until EMS arrived and transported the victim to hospital. The male was pronounced deceased in hospital a short time later. Police secured a large area, believed to be a possible crime scene, and requested the Coroner and Major Crimes. As the result of investigation carried out in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, the death is now considered a homicide. The deceased person has been identified and his family notified of his death. The victim is 26 year-old Delvin Charles MIKE, DOB: 1986-10-07, of Regina.
