The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a vehicle/cyclist collision, resulting in serious injuries to a 36 year-old Man.
At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8th, 2012, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Massey Road for a report of a vehicle/cyclist collision. Police and EMS found a 36 year-old man who was the victim of an apparent motor vehicle collision; however, the vehicle and driver were no longer at the scene. The man was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious; The victim remains in hospital; he has been identified and his family has been notified of his condition. His name will not be released at this time.
Preliminary investigation indicates a car described as a small red 1990-95 sports car was heading northbound on Massey Road when it struck the cyclist. A collision reconstructionist collected physical evidence at the scene. Investigators believe the vehicle will display noticeable damage.
