The four year-old victim of alleged abuse and neglect, who was hospitalized the night of July 31/Aug.1, has died in hospital. The Regina Police Service received word yesterday evening that the little girl had passed away. The child’s name will not be released at this time. Notification to next of kin has been completed. The other victim in this case, a two-year girl, remains in hospital.
The investigation into this case is ongoing. The co-accused in this investigation are set to appear again in court on August 9, 2012. It’s anticipated any changes in the charges against them will be read in Provincial Court at that time.
