Over the years our city has changed and so has our police service. From vehicles to officers to the look of the Regina Police Service brand. In 1992 the Regina Police Service adopted the term “Century of Service”, an appropriate acknowledgment at the time it was taken. As of 2012 the Regina Police Service will be in existence for 120 years and the current logo is no longer relevant
The Strategic Services Section, under the direction of the Executive Officer and Executive Director, has taken the next step in the development of an overall re-branding strategy for the Regina Police Service. In researching the new logo, it was discovered that other police services were utilizing their City’s or own police service’s Coat of Arms as they updated their brand from past times. The Regina Police Service is now moving toward using the Coat of Arms on a broader basis. The new crest incorporates the Regina Police Service Coat of Arms, the term ‘Vigilius Genus’ (A Most Vigilant Breed), a prairie lily and the Canadian Flag.
From the swearing-in of the town’s first constable to the growing police service our city now enjoys, the Regina Police Ser
vice has always been committed to creating safe, inclusive and harmonious communities.
