The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is investigating a sudden death, reported just before 9:00 a.m. today, at a house in the 600 block of Garnet Street.
At 8:56 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012, police received a call of a child, possibly deceased, at a house in the 600 block of Garnet Street. Police and EMS attended and located a three year-old female child at the house; EMS pronounced the child deceased at the scene. The responding officers requested additional police resources, including Forensic Identification, as well as a Coroner.
Police, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, will investigate to determine the circumstances of this death, including making the determination as to whether this is a suspicious or non-suspicious death. At this early stage in the investigation, there are no other details available for release.
