The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public in its investigation into a weapons offence/home invasion last night (Tuesday, May 15th) at Bauermeister Street in which the male and female occupants of the home were assaulted by two males and one female.
At approximately 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, police received a call from a house on Bauermeister Street, reporting that two males and a female had forced their way into the house and had assaulted the couple living there. The male suspects were reportedly carrying firearms. Numerous police units arrived and found an injured 35 year-old male and a 25 year-old female, who’d also been assaulted but was not as seriously injured. Police searched the house and area, but the suspects had fled. EMS transported the male to hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. The 35 year-old male victim remains in hospital, but is expected to recover from his injuries. The female victim was struck a number of times and sustained injuries consistent with a physical assault. She was treated in hospital and released.
The suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1 is male, Aboriginal, about 25 years old, with no facial hair or noticeable markings, 5′ 9″ tall, weighing about 140 pounds and wearing a red and blue hat. Suspect #2 is also male, Aboriginal, weighing about 140 pounds, wearing a black toque and black hooded sweatshirt. The female suspect is described as Aboriginal, weighing about 150 pounds, with long hair pulled back into a ponytail.
