he Regina Police Service is advising the public of a recent incident in order to raise awareness about a possible new twist on an old crime. On Monday, April 23rd, at approximately 11:20 in the morning, a male victim was leaving the Safeway at Victoria Square Mall when he was approached by two males and a female who asked for directions to the General Hospital. One of the males had a map with him and while the victim was pointing out the route on the map the three suspects gathered around bumping into the victim several times. Once the suspects were clear on the directions they thanked the victim, pulled him into a group hug and went their separate ways.
When the victim got home he discovered his credit card and bank debit card were both missing from his wallet. He immediately called his bank and was informed his cards had been used in three separate transactions.
The suspects are described as two males and one female, all approximately 5’7″ tall with dark hair and tanned skin. All suspects spoke with an accent that the victim could not identify.
