Two Regina-area males, ages 18 and 21, have been charged following a search of a farm just east ofReginaon Sunday, February 25, 2012. The search; executed by members of the Regina Police Service, assisted by the RCMP; occurred on a farm near White City as the result of investigation by RPS Street Crimes investigators.
Numerous items, confirmed stolen, were seized in the search. They include two Seadoos, five snowmobiles, four enclosed trailers with contents, a Bombardier track machine, a Case track hoe and a Case skid steer, along with other miscellaneous industrial equipment and personal household items. The property seized is estimated to have a total value in excess of $300,000. The two residents of the farm were arrested without incident and, initially, each was charged with a single count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000. Further investigation led to additional charges against the 18 year-old male in connection with a break and enter to a compound on March 15, 2011 and the theft of vehicles on Sept. 20, 2011 and January 19, 2012. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence relating to the other stolen items. In some cases, these items have already been returned to the rightful owners. More charges, from both the Regina Police Service and RCMP, are anticipated.
Charged in connection with this investigation are: 21 year-old Mason Jay BLACKMORE, DOB: 1991-06-21, and Carl Gordon DENTON, DOB: 1993-07-23, both of theReginadistrict. Both are charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000. [355(a) CC]. The first court appearance for this charge was Monday, February 27, 2012. DENTONis also charged with two counts of Theft of Vehicle over $5,000 [334(a) CC] and Break and Enter [348(1)(b) CC] and will appear inProvincial Courton these charges on April 2, 2012.
