The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is continuing its investigation into a sudden death that was discovered on Saturday, January 28, 2012.
At approximately 12:58 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012, police were dispatched to a house in the 1100 block of Argyle Streetfor a report of a male who was possibly deceased. Police arrived and located the body of a 58 year-old male inside the house; the male was confirmed to be deceased. Police requested the Coroner and secured the scene and, in keeping with procedure in any sudden unexplained death, requested Major Crimes investigators. At this time, police are treating this as a suspicious death. The deceased person has been identified; he is the resident of that address, but his name will not be released at this time. The Coroner has ordered an autopsy (Tuesday, January 31st) and police will continue to work with the Coroner’s Office to learn more about the circumstances of this death.
