A 35 year-old Regina woman has been charged with Aggravated Assault after an incident last October, in which a 12 month-old female child was hospitalized with head trauma.
On October 27, 2011, a 9-1-1 call was received from a residence in the 8000 block of Knox Place reporting a child who was breathing but appeared to be unconscious and non-responsive. EMS transported the child, a 12 month old female, to hospital. A police investigation began the following day as the result of suspicion that the child’s injuries, which were described as head trauma, were not accidental. The police investigation into this matter led to the arrest of a 35 year-old Regina female, who is facing a single charge of Aggravated Assault.
Thirty-five year-old Karen Jennie KROEKER, DOB: 1976-11-25, of Regina, is charged with Aggravated Assault, contrary to section 268(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. KROEKER will make her first court appearance on this matter inProvincial Courton February 2, 2012.
