A 60 year-old Regina male, who was the victim of a vehicle/pedestrian collision on the 29th of October, has died. The Regina Police Service learned on Sunday, November 13, 2011, that the male victim died in hospital on Thursday, November 10, 2011.
The collision is the subject of an ongoing investigation. The event occurred on Saturday, October 29, 2011. At approximately 12:56 p.m. that day, police were dispatched to the 3800 block ofSherwood Drivefor a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Police and EMS arrived and located a 60 year-old male pedestrian who was taken to hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. Preliminary investigation indicated the male was crossing Sherwood Drivefrom the north side of the street to the south side. A vehicle, travelling in the left-hand, west-bound lane of Sherwood Drive, struck the pedestrian. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of this incident. There are no charges laid in connection with this case at this stage.
The name of the deceased will not be released by police at this time.
