Three persons: one adult male, one male youth and one female youth are charged in connection with incidents of theft from auto overnight. This case is an excellent example of a citizen report of suspicious behaviour.
At approximately, 12:39 a.m. today, June 23, 2011, the Regina Police Service received a call from a resident in the area of Magee Crescent describing three people who were walking on the street trying the doors of vehicles and entering unlocked vehicles. Police were dispatched to the area and located three individuals who matched the description of the suspects. Subsequent investigation led to the discovery that one of the individuals, a male youth, was subject to court ordered conditions; he was arrested for breach of these. Further investigation led to additional charges against the youth and charges against all three in connection with thefts from vehicles.
Nineteen year-old Travis Lloyd DIXON, DOB: 1991-08-22, of Regina and a 14 year-old female, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are both facing two charges of Attempt Theft [334 CC]. A 16 year-old male, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing two charges of Attempt Theft [334 CC]; Possession of Stolen Property under $5000 [355(b) CC]; Possession of House B&E tools [351(1) CC]; Breach of Probation [137 YCJA] and Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]. The youths will appear in Youth Court at 2:00 p.m. today, June 23, 2011. DIXON will make his appearance in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today, June 23, 2011.
