The Regina Police Service is reminding residents of the provision in the City’s Traffic Bylaw 9900 that prohibits parking on any city street for a period of more than 24 hours. This is especially important during the winter months when vehicles parked on the streets can hamper snow removal.
The Traffic Bylaw 9900, Section 35 (5)(c) states that, “No person shall park a vehicle on any public highway for more than 24 hours except for Saturdays and holidays”. Infractions under the bylaw are subject to a $50.00 ticket. In addition, the vehicle may be seized and towed.
The Regina Police Service thanks the media and the public for their co-operation in this matter.
