The Regina Police Service is requesting assistance from the public in its investigation into the robbery of a financial institution today, August 26, 2010.
At approximately 2:27 p.m., on Thursday, August 26, 2010, police were dispatched to a financial institution in the 2900 block of 13th Avenue for a report of a robbery in progress. The suspect fled before police arrived and an area search failed to locate him. Preliminary investigation indicates an unknown male entered the financial institution, approached an employee, showed a knife and demanded money. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. The female employee was not physically harmed in this incident.
The suspect is described as male, Aboriginal, approximately 25 years old, about 5’ 6” to 5’ 7” in height, weighing about 160 pounds, with an athletic build and short-to-medium length black hair. The suspect is also described as clean-cut, wearing a grey tee-shirt and carrying a black duffle bag with white on it (not clear whether the white is a logo, straps or lettering).
