Criminal Record Check through INTERPOL (Ottawa)

 

The applicant can request a check through INTERPOL. Applicant must submit fingerprints to Ottawa. Ottawa will do a Canadian check (as does the Regina Police Service), but will issue the results on Interpol letterhead. The reason is that some agencies prefer to see that the check was done by an Interpol member country. The response will include that a search was based on fingerprint submission. Again, in the event the agency requires a check in another country, it will be up to the applicant to obtain this.
