The Regina Community Cadet Corps is a program designed to develop and enhance leadership skills and self-esteem in young people. The program is directed by Cpl. Tracey Dunnigan of the Regina Police Service who, with a group of community volunteers, engages young people in learning about leadership, personal responsibility, teamwork and fun. The cadets, males and females between the ages of 12 and 18, must attend school and maintain good grades. Regina's Community Cadet Corps meets Monday and Friday evenings at the Albert Scott Community Centre and on Saturdays in the Core-Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre. The Regina Community Cadet Corps, with approximately 30 cadets, held its first Annual Inspection Night February 25, 2002.
The Regina Community Cadet Corps is Saskatchewan's first urban-based program, developed in partnership with the Community Cadet Corps program of the RCMP.
