The Regina Police Service is making available the services of the Business Watch Network to you . This program is a problem solving initiative in which businesses, various organizations and the police work together to prevent crime. This service is available by the Regina Police Service at NO COST.

 

What is Business Watch Network?

Business Watch is a crime prevention program which uses computer, fax and telephone technology to provide crime-relevant information.

Why Business Watch Network?

Business Watch Network releases information to its member businesses, the Regina Police Service, other agencies, and to the network of the Broadcast Information Land Line computer and related crime prevention program participant organizations such as Neighbourhood Watch and Block Parent.

How Does it Work?

  • Bulletins relevant to you and your business are relayed by the Business Watch Network by fax as authorized by police or other sources.
  • Each Business Watch Network member is encouraged to fax criminal intelligence to other businesses and the police through the Network. Based on this information, police may, in turn, issue an authorized bulletin to alert businesses with specific suspect information.


What is the Mandate of Business Watch Network?

Help businesses significantly reduce crime related loss by increasingly frustrating the attempts of criminals to commit crimes against them. We live in a day of clogged court systems, increased demands upon police, which creates a bottleneck within the Criminal Justice System. Businesses must defend and protect themselves by working in an effort to deny criminals the opportunity for a second strike.
