The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of a deceased adult female, in an area east of the Ring Road, this afternoon.
Regina Police Service members and EMS were dispatched to the 1100 block of Ring Road, near the Ross Avenue off-ramp, at approximately 1:37 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. A motorist stopped to render assistance to a person who appeared to be not moving. EMS arrived at that location and confirmed the person was deceased. Police also arrived and secured the area for the purposes of investigation. The Office of the Chief Coroner was contacted and Major Crimes and Forensic Identification investigators were also summoned to the area.
At this time there are no other details for release. Among the first duties of the investigation, officers will confirm the identity of the deceased woman and notify her next-of-kin. The scene will be held until more is known about the circumstances of this person’s death. There should be no significant disruption to north-bound traffic on the Ring Road.
